List of important examinations which are necessary to pass for studying abroad

 

ILETS (International English Language Testing System)

The (ILETS) International English Language Testing System is perhaps the most popular test among the Indian students who are planning to take admission for their studies in abroad. ILETS is a foreign proficiency test. The IELTS test is designed such a way to evaluate key language skills at the language level, such as students'reading, speaking, listening and writing. Countries like United States of America, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand accept IELTS score for admission to educational institutions and universities for Indian students.

 

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)

The English language test as a TOEFL or foreign language is an English proficiency test conducted to evaluate a candidate's English speaking ability and understanding. Over 9000 foreign universities, institutes and colleges accept the TOEFL score card as a valid and genuine proof of English proficiency certificate. There are active participants of about 130 TOEFL where the score of this exam is accepted for admission to international students. American Nonprofit Organization Examination Educational Services (ETS) conducts this exam.

 

GRE (Graduate Record Examination)

Graduate Record Examination is the full form of GRE Test. It is a common entrance examination accepted by many reputed and popular Business schools, educational institutions and universities all over the world. The Educational Testing Service (ETS) is responsible for administrating and conducting this GRE Test. The score of this GRE Test is very helpful in the admission process comparing efficiency and academic profile of different students.

 

GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a worldwidely accepted MBA entrance test through which MBA aspiring candidates are selected for screening, shortlisting and admission. This test checks the quantitative, analytical, writing and reading skills of an MBA candidate. This is a computer adaptive test. It is the job of The Graduate Management Admissions Council to conduct GMAT exam.  

 

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)

This is a standardize test for the students who are planning to pursue their higher education in foreign countries. The Scholastic Assessment Test was firstly developed as a common entrance test for the students planning to take admissions in USA colleges or universities for higher education.

Now SAT Exam is conducted by the College Board and it is a mandatory for taking admission in graduate courses in aboard. Apart from the common SAT tests, There is also a provision for students to take SAT test in a particular subject or course so that there candidature is strong to take admission in a particular subject course.

 

ACT (American College Test)

This is a standardized test for assessing the academic preparation for the students who are going to apply for admission in American College. The objective of this American College Test standardized test is to check the knowledge of students seeking admission in in American College.

 

 

LSAT (The Law School Admission Test)

This is a very important standardized test for the students who want to take admission in law colleges / universities in United States of America, Canada and many other countries. The Law School Admission Test is administered and managed by LSAC (the Law School Admission Council. This test examines the talent and knowledge of all law college candidates equally. A high score in the The Law School Admission Test is very helpful for the Indian students to take admission in the reputed law college.
